We review AI tools so you don't get burned
We're a tiny team of AI nerds who got frustrated with review sites that rank tools based on who pays the most affiliate commission. So we built our own thing: real testing, real opinions, real transparency.
Why We Started This
Spoiler: it wasn't for the money.
Back in 2024, the three of us were trying to pick an AI writing tool for a side project. Simple enough, right? We searched online, found a dozen "best of" lists, and every single one recommended the same tools — usually the ones with the highest affiliate payouts.
We tried those tools anyway. Some were great. Some were garbage. The reviews didn't match reality. So we started testing tools ourselves, writing down what we actually found, and sharing it with friends. Those friends shared it with their friends. Before we knew it, we had a website.
That's what hrxxinfo is today: three people who genuinely enjoy trying AI tools and telling you which ones are worth your time — and your money.
Our Transparency Pledge
- We use every tool we review. No exceptions.
- We disclose affiliate links clearly. They never affect our ratings.
- When a tool is bad, we say it's bad — even if it means losing a commission.
- We correct mistakes openly and promptly. See our correction policy.
- We don't accept payment for reviews or rankings. Period.
Meet the People Behind the Reviews
Real humans, real opinions. No AI-generated personalities here.
Alex Chen
Editor-in-Chief
Alex used to be an AI researcher — spent years building recommendation systems at a big tech company before realizing he'd rather tell people which tools actually work than build another one nobody asked for. He's tested over 200 AI tools personally and can spot a marketing gimmick from a mile away.
Sarah Mitchell
Lead Reviewer
Sarah comes from the world of technical writing and product management. She has this superpower of being able to take a complicated AI tool, use it for 20 minutes, and tell you exactly where it shines and where it falls apart. She's our go-to for hands-on testing and isn't afraid to call out a tool that's all hype.
David Park
Technical Reviewer
David is the guy who reads the documentation before touching the tool — and then builds something real with it. He focuses on the technical side: API performance, response times, output quality, and how tools handle edge cases. If a tool breaks under pressure, David will find out and write about it.
We're keeping the team intentionally small. It means every review gets personal attention, no review is rushed, and you're getting the genuine opinion of someone who actually used the tool — not a content mill.
